Embiggen Digital Ventures Venture Architect Pauline Joaquin Guanzon was honored by the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) Philippines for advancing the causes of women entrepreneurs in celebration of Women’s month.
Guanzon was recognized alongside 19 women entrepreneurs and business leaders including Rosalind Wee, Alice Liu, Emma M. Imperial, Mary Grace Dimacali, Emelda Teng, Ida Ceniza Tiongson, Michelle Gankee, Cathy Saldana, Karen Tanchanco-Caballero, Chal Chang Lontoc-del Rosario, Diane Querrer, Baby S. Primavera, Loubelie Laguardia Gardiola, Therine Diquit, Annie Tanchanco, Chiqui Escareal-Go, Chique Magpayo, Blanca Calilung Mercado, and Kathy Mercado.
“I am honored to have been recognized by ICSB alongside many great women entrepreneurs in the Philippines that have made such a great positive impact on the communities they serve in the country and around the world,” said Guanzon.
The honorees were recognized at ICSB’s Women’s Passion 2023 event at the Asian Institute of Management last March 3, 2023.
“ICSB Global is recognizing the contribution of women not only to family, not only to community, not only to your national country but also worldwide. So today we honor women from various fields,” said ICSB Philippines President Eric Caeg in an interview with PTV.
“I hope this recognition inspires many more young women to pursue their dreams of becoming the next generation of entrepreneurs. I am excited to see what the future has in store for women entrepreneurs and business leaders in our country,” added Guanzon.
Guanzon is a seasoned entrepreneur, with over 10 years of experience in operations and management.
“She has held leadership positions in multiple startups, family businesses, and other companies in the Philippines across various industries such as food and beverage manufacturing, logistics and distribution, innovation and technology, and social enterprises,” said the organizers.
As a venture architect, Guanzon spearheads the creation of new innovative digital ventures with Embiggen’s corporate venture building arm Embiggen Digital Ventures.
“She concurrently is Chief Information and Operations Officer of the MMGI Group of Companies, Venture Architect for the Embiggen Group, a director of the Joaquin Group of Companies, and co-founder and CEO of Innovable, Inc., which aims to provide assistive technology solutions for persons with disabilities,” added the organizers.
She graduated with an Executive Masters in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation from the Asian Institute of Management in 2014.
