ECCP partners with Embiggen to certify members in innovation under the GIMI Certified Innovation Professional program

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) partnered with the Embiggen Innovation Institute (EII) to certify its members in innovation and innovation management last March 27, 2023. 

The business chamber will offer the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) Level 1: Associate innovation certification to its members, with the next cohort starting on April 18, 2023. 

The GIMI program provides ECCP members with the opportunity to become Certified Innovation Professionals.

“This partnership further propels our mission to democratize the practice of innovation in the Philippines and emerging markets. We’re excited to see the unique insights ECCP’s members will bring to the table when they join the GIMI innovation certification program,” said Masaki Mitsuhashi, Managing Director of EII.

“The ECCP has long advocated for the development of human capital as we see it as a necessity in sustaining business success and long-term progress,” said ECCP Competency Hub Manager Kamyr Catapang-Abbagu. 

“We definitely are excited about this partnership with Embiggen as it’s a great opportunity to leverage on each other’s expertise and accelerate innovation-driven growth, boost competitiveness, and enable more opportunities for Filipinos,” added Catapang-Abbagu.

As the worldwide standard certification body for innovation and innovation management, GIMI has trained and certified over 10,000 innovators. These innovators come from various organizations including a number of Fortune 500 corporations such as HSBC, Procter & Gamble, and Pfizer.

EII is the exclusive certified training partner of GIMI in the Philippines. EII has trained over 1,000 innovators in the practice of innovation and foresight since its establishment in 2021.
