2nd cohort of GIMI level 1 innovation certification program to start on March 19, 2022

The next cohort of Embiggen-trained innovators will begin their training for the first level of the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) Certified Innovation Professional program on March 19, 2022.

GIMI is the globally recognized standard and certification board for innovation and innovation management. Embiggen is their exclusive certified training partner in the Philippines. Established companies like the Ayala Corporation, Pfizer, HSBC, and H&M have sent their innovation practitioners to become GIMI-certified innovators.

Graduates of GIMI’s programs have the knowledge and skills to execute innovation processes, which have been used by the largest and most successful corporations around the world, in their own organizations. This gives GIMI-certified professionals in any industry an employability edge over their peers.

Rolan Marco Garcia, Embiggen’s CEO said at a masterclass last March 3, “we really want to democratize innovation by empowering individuals such as you, wherever you are… We want to equip as many innovators as we can in the Philippines.”

The previous batch of Embiggen-trained GIMI Innovation Associates completed their training last February 26, 2022.

GIMI Level 1: Innovation Associate

Participants of the first level of the GIMI Certified Innovation Professional program are introduced to basic innovation tools and techniques such as idea generation, opportunity identification, and business concept generation.

“We will teach you not just to know innovation, but also to execute innovation,” said Garcia.

Synchronous classes for the 6-week are held every Saturday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM to accommodate the busy lifestyles of working professionals and executives.

Being innovation certified provides a career boost to professionals working in various industries. GIMI-certified innovation practitioners have shared that the certification gave them an edge to get the job they currently have.

On the other hand, organizations benefit from having individuals adept at innovation. Certified innovation practitioners have the knowledge to generate new ideas and build long-term growth for their organizations.

Innovation associates will graduate from the program with the confidence to repeatedly execute the innovation process.

“You can go back [from the program] and tell your boss ‘Hey boss these are the things that I want to innovate and I have a proven process for innovation that have been used all over the world,’” said Garcia.

At the end of the GIMI Level 1 program, participants will gain the level of Innovation Associate and will be well on their journey to becoming GIMI certified innovators.
