Embiggen Group Wins Silver Stevie® Award in 2023 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Embiggen Group was named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Most Innovative Startup of the Year – Business Service Industries category in the 10th annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are the only business awards program to recognize innovation in the workplace in all 29 nations of the Asia-Pacific region.  The Stevie Awards are widely considered to be the world’s premier business awards, conferring recognition for achievement in programs such as The International Business Awards® for 21 years.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the winners will be celebrated during a virtual (online) awards ceremony on Tuesday, 27 June.

More than 800 nominations from organizations across the Asia-Pacific region were considered this year in categories such as Award for Excellence in Innovation in Products & Services, Award for Innovative Management, and Award for Innovation in Corporate Websites, among many others.

“We are humbled to have been recognized as one of the most innovative business service startups in the Asia Pacific region by the Stevie Awards this year. This prestigious award strengthens our mission to jumpstart and sustain innovation-led growth in companies in emerging markets through venture building,” Rolan Marco Garcia, Embiggen Founding CEO & Managing Partner said.

The Embiggen Group was nominated for a Stevie Award for its unique comprehensive suite of innovation services.

Embiggen Digital Ventures is Embiggen’s corporate venture building (CVB) arm. It co-creates new ventures with corporations worldwide, backed by its team of innovation experts and venture capital leaders. It is one of the few independent venture builders established in an emerging market.

Embiggen’s learning and training arm, the Embiggen Innovation Institute, is the go-to firm for corporate innovation strategy and tactics learning and development for top companies in the region. It has trained over 1,000 innovators in innovation and innovation management.

“Embiggen was built on the belief that innovation is the key to creating solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. We look forward to continuing working with our partners and stakeholders to build these much-needed solutions,” Garcia added.

Numerous Philippine-based companies and startups also won Stevies including Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Cebu Landmasters, Maynilad, Megaworld Corporation, MERALCO, and UnionBank.

Philippine-based health tech startup Metro Pacific Health Tech (mWell) garnered the gold for the Most Innovative Startup of the Year – Business Service Industries category.

“We are honored to have been awarded a Stevie alongside many innovative and impactful Filipino businesses. I congratulate our fellow awardees and I am excited to see what innovations Filipino companies and startups have in store for the future,” Garcia said.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 100 executives around the world acting as judges in February and March.

“The 10th edition of the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards attracted many remarkable nominations,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Miller.

“The organizations that won this year have demonstrated that they are committed to being innovative, and we applaud them for their perseverance and creativity.  We look forward to celebrating many of this year’s winners during our virtual awards ceremony on 27 June,” Miller added.
