Famida Alonto

After pursuing graduate studies at Stanford University at the age of 20, Famida Alonto became one of Silicon Valley’s youngest VCs, focusing on corporate innovation and startup collaboration. She assessed founders and teams, analyzed business models and product-market fit, helped a number of companies market their brands, look for corporations they can partner with, and tailor their products to acquire more users. Fam has reviewed over 1000+ startups around the world for potential investments and partnerships with F500 companies. She has also co-founded the PnP Travel and Hospitality Innovation Platform, an incubator in Silicon Valley, in partnership with JetBlue Ventures, Lufthansa Innovation Hub, and more.

Fam became one of the youngest executives in APAC, as the Chief Innovation Officer at Insular Life, a multi-billion dollar financial institution. She created long-term digital strategies to achieve business goals and championed the culture of innovation in the organization. As Head of Innovation, Fam’s team won the Anvil Awards in 2019. 

Currently, Fam is a Venture Builder at 917Ventures, one of the largest incubators in APAC, wholly owned by Globe Telecom. She is also a part-time professor at the School of Management of the Ateneo de Manila University. Previously, she was an Adjunct Professor at the Asian Institute of Management.

Fam is one of the recipients of the Young Market Masters Award, a prestigious national award that seeks to honor young achievers, 35 years old and below, who excel in marketing, sales and entrepreneurship.
